Dear Mr. President
My name is Jordan. I'm a student at Parkway West Middle School, and I'm writing to you today to share my thoughts on the latest internet craze, "KONY 2012". I became interested in the issue when I watched the video on the topic. I felt very sad for the children who were abducted, forced into the LRA, and sometimes killed.
This is currently a topic of interest because Joseph Kony has been getting away with his crimes for 20 years. People in the U.S. are fighting for Kony to be taken down. Cleary, Kony is a person who should be brought to justice for his actions. He is using boys as his soldiers and even forcing them to shoot their own parents. This shows that, Joseph Kony should be tired for murder and to be arrested.
Mr. President, we must continue to send troops over to Africa and bring Joseph Kony to justice. If we don't, more families will suffer and the LRA will just get bigger.
I thank you for taking your time to read this letter. This issue might not mean much to the American people, but it means a ton to the families and kids who are living in fear of Kony. Finding him would mean they wouldn't have to worry about people taking them away and being killed.
